2. Kakashi killed Rin because Rin couldn’t kill herself, all because of

While carrying out his plan, Madara implanted the Kinkoju no Fuda seal in
Rin’s heart.
This seal will make the victim follow Madara’s orders and most importantly
cannot kill himself or destroy his own seal even though he already knows there
is a seal.
Because of that Rin actually wanted to kill himself so Isobu wouldn’t be
released in Konoha, but he couldn’t. Because of that, he had to die at the
hands of Kakashi.
3. Uniquely, Obito also lost Madara’s seal in the same way as Rin, which was
stabbed by Kakashi!

Madara also implanted the Kinkoju no Fuda seal into Obito so that he would
follow his plan, be controlled, and could not become a Jinchuriki.
Obito knew this, because of that moment when he dueled with Kakashi in Kamui’s
dimension, Obito deliberately made Kakashi’s Raikiri hit Obito’s heart, so
Madara’s seal was lost and he could become the Juubi’s Jinchuriki.
So Rin and Obito both lost Madara’s seal in the same way, namely Raikiri
Kakashi. The difference is that Rin died, while Obito survived with
Hashirama’s cells in his body.
